Eat 2 to 3 prunes a day.

The simplest and most effective remedy is to drink lots of water (most people fail to intake enough). The daily recommended amount is 2 liters, but have at least 6 to 8 glasses.

Have 1/2 cup cabbage juice twice a day.

For immediate relief, have a bowl of plain yoghurt. Alternatively, suck on a piece of clove.

To prevent acidity, add 2 tsp apple cider vinegar and 2 tsp honey to a glass of water. Drink after meals.

Drink coconut water a few times a day to relieve acidity.

Eat a banana at night.

Drink a cold glass of milk at night.

Avoid spicy and oily food.

Try to eat your main meal of the day in the afternoon or early evening.

Drink mint tea; or add 2 to 3 drops of mint essence in a glass of water and drink 3 to 4 times a day.

Drink warm water throughout the day.

Avoid canned food like tomato sauce or beans.

Add 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water. Drink with meals.

Add 1/2 tsp of fenugreek seeds and 1/2 tsp of roasted cumin seeds to 4 tsp of yogurt. Eat 3 to 4 times a day.

Drink buttermilk with 1 tsp cumin seeds and 2 tsp black salt.
