I was named after a famous Pakistani actress, a screen goddess: Zeba. When people ask me how to pronounce it, I tell them, “Well, it rhymes with ‘labour’ or ‘neighbour’.”

Memories of her mother…asking the dear Queen if she would hire her to work at Buckingham Palace: “You are like my family. You are very decent people. I want to help you. I will do what you need, cook, clean, iron.”
